Meet Kapil Dhawan

Kapil Dhawan, MD, is a Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Specialist at Pulmonary Medicine Associates. Dr. Dhawan provides exceptional care to all his patients from PMA’s Sacramento, California, office.

His education and studies began at the University of West Indies School of Medicine in St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. He completed his residency at the University of Florida, Department of Internal Medicine in Gainesville, Florida.

Next, he fulfilled a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the University of Florida, Department of Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, and a Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship at Ohio State University Department of Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Dhawan joined PMA in 2011 after completing his Fellowship in Sleep Medicine, followed by another Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship. He was the Chief Fellow at The Ohio State University in the Pulmonary and Critical Care program.
